today was like totally slake. well except bio toady, we had a test and i m so totally going to fail...later we helped out for the COE, something to do with promoting the arts. we skipped the whole of english and half of geog. And we were dismiss at 12:15!!! i think this is the first time ever in my secondary school life that we actually study and then dismiss so early!!! later, samy, emerald and i wanted to go to the school gym, only it was closed and will open at 2. so, we decieded not to wait and just go to Bishan library, well, at least sammy and i did. my carrier bag was like seriously heavy with 7 BOOKS!!! Oh and Samy apparently wrote in her blog about our jap names. well, i will put down our ENGLISH names and their origins (sorry am stuck to the eng language :) )
1) Samantha:
origin: arabic
meanig: listener
Samantha is likely an English variation on Samuel, it does not retain the original Hebrew meaning "heard by God," as it is not a Hebrew name. Samantha is a relatively new name, arising in the latter part of the 18th century. popularized in the 1960s by the TV show 'Bewitched', where the lead character was named Samantha.Famous bearers include actress Samantha Morton, singer and actress Samantha Mumba and Samantha Bond, who played Miss Moneypenny in James Bond films that starred Pierce Brosnan.
2) Emerald
Origin: Greek
Meaning: green gemstone (DUH!!!)
The word "emerald" derives from the Greek word "smaragdos," which means "green gemstone." Emeralds, a form of beryl, has been prized for centuries among cultures throughout the world.Emerald is one of the birthstones for the month of May. In L. Frank Baum's "Wizard of Oz" series, Oz is referred to as the "Emerald City."
4) Victoria
origin: Latin
Meaning: conqueror
Victoria was the Roman goddess of victory, the equivalent of the Greek Nike.A notable bearer of this name is Queen Victoria who reigned between 1819 - 1901 and is the longest reigning British monarch. Victoria was not a common name when Queen Victoria was christened, but it has consistently ranked highly in the UK and US ever since.
(By the way vic, your name has the highest rate of popularity, and yes i m bored!!! none of your are online!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
5) Trisha
origin:Latin
meaning:A patrician
(there is nothing more to write...)
6) Rachel
origin:hebrew
meaning:ewe (what on earth is an ewe?!)
(also nothing interesting)

haha, ah, well, my fingers are like breaking now, will write more tmr, bye bye. And yes again, i have NOTHING better to do then waste my time doing this :)
